Hotel des Academies et des Arts: Portraits

I was recently commissioned to take a number of portraits of Laurent and Charlotte Inchauspé, the owners of a gorgeous hotel in the 6th arrondissement of Paris. Young, talented, and beautiful, they made for photogenic subjects. Whilst we did a few minutes of classical portraiture, with soft Rembrandt lighting, the most interesting parts of the session were trying to achieve a dynamic expression that captured their energy. Here are a few of the shots.

    1. Hi Stephen,

Thanks. They’re taken with an off camera speedlight – the first two using an umbrella and reflector as a fill, and the second two simply bouncing off a white ceiling.

      Matt
